How to get lucky: A Scientific Explanation of Mysticism and What You Need to Know

What is Luck?

In Suanming (Chinese fortune telling), it is said, “Destiny first, luck second, and feng shui third,” highlighting the significant impact of "luck" on people's lives. However, "luck" has a tricky nature, as its objectivity is debatable. Imagine winning a large lottery, which seems like good luck. But if you get robbed because of it, it might be seen as bad luck. However, losing all your money might motivate you to work hard and start a successful business, turning it back into good luck. Yet, if your dedication to your business leads to neglecting your partner, causing them to leave, it becomes bad luck again.

Notice how different answers emerge based on the time frame you consider.

If something bad happens, like tripping and falling today, how many people can just brush off the dust and say, “Maybe good things are ahead”? From a metaphysical perspective, those who can think this way are considered fortunate.

Indeed, you never know what lies ahead. Maybe falling and getting injured leads to being humiliated in a job interview, which you then fail. Bad events can follow one after another. Only those with an unbroken mental fortitude can see the silver lining: “It's great that I found out this company is terrible before joining.”

Lucky people aren’t those who experience the most good events but those who believe they are lucky.

How to Become a Lucky Person?

Now that you understand this, are you willing to become someone who believes they are lucky? But is that enough? I once studied music theory, and when my teacher played a middle C on the keyboard, I could immediately replicate the note. But what about ten minutes later? A day later? I wanted to replicate the note but couldn't because it was drowned out by other sounds throughout the day.

This is frequency. Just like the frequency of sounds, human energy frequencies need intentional guidance to avoid being disrupted by other frequencies.

Even if you now know you want to be a lucky person, life might bombard you with unfavorable events for some time, even dashing long-held hopes. Can you still nonchalantly say, “It’s okay, my luck is coming”?

Most people can only reach this state through intentional practice.

I faced similar challenges during my practice. My shifu (mentor) told me that if I was constantly disturbed, I should more frequently align myself with a standard frequency. Imagine hearing a standard middle C note every ten minutes throughout the day. Gradually, you would adapt to this frequency and extend the intervals to thirty minutes, an hour…

Human frequencies work similarly; you need a standard frequency to calibrate yourself.

How to Maintain Your Lucky Frequency?

The key is to find energy sources that help you "calibrate."

  • High-Energy People

When I felt troubled, I would discuss my issues with my shifu, which calmed me down. She was highly cultivated and wise. If you have people around you who exude wisdom and comfort, spend more time with them. Even if you don't discuss your problems, just being around them can positively influence you. I have gradually become like my shifu through practice, with a positive and strong inner world. I can provide good energy to those around me. If you need it, feel free to contact me. I won't charge you, just hope you pass on the kindness to others.

  • Nature

Human magnetic fields are always the most chaotic. If you can, connect with nature. The natural world embraces everything, and spending enough time with it can heal your soul. Some people like to wear natural objects like crystals or turquoise. This is generally effective, but there’s a caveat. I once received an amethyst as a gift. Wearing it for two hours plunged me into extreme negativity. As someone sensitive to energy, I learned that the amethyst had absorbed negative energy from its previous owner. So, if you're energy-sensitive or don’t know how to purify such items, it’s best to avoid them.

  • Record Your Luck

Smelled a lovely flower today? Just caught your bus on time? Record these little lucky moments, no matter how small. They act as your “middle C,” reminding you of your luck. You can document them in writing or videos. I maintain a daily record of lucky events on my Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/luckyadoodle/), sharing my luck and energy with everyone who sees this.

  • High-Energy Objects

“I love this doll; it always brings me luck.” You might have heard such things. Often, the object itself is ordinary, but its owner attributes their good fortune to it, making it a high-energy item. If you have such an object, place it where you can see it. Share your good fortune with it. If you don't have one, I recommend getting a Luckyadoodle. It appeared in my dreams during the later stages of my practice and transformed my life. My shifu said I was naturally positive, and my task was to spread this energy. But every time I did good deeds, my shifu would say: “Not enough.” Until Luckyadoodle appeared in my dream, I realized I could spread positive energy more profoundly.

Epilogue

In early 2024, I shared Luckyadoodle’s story with my shifu (Xiuzhen Zhang). She smiled and never said “not enough” again. A few months later, She passed away. I dedicate this article to her teachings, continuously recording what I learned from her to benefit those who read it.
